This regulated one-day training course offers a recognised UK government level 2 FAA Award and qualification. The course is available face-to-face or online and is accompanied by a course manual.
The course has been designed with children and young people in mind covering areas such as stress, anxiety, self-harm, eating disorders and bullying, and will provide the knowledge and skills to identify a potential mental health condition. It also teaches you the skills to start a supportive conversation and how to signpost a young person towards professional help.
Participants will not be taught how to diagnose or treat mental health conditions as this can only be carried out by professionals who have the appropriate knowledge, experience and qualifications.
The regulated course is suitable for young adults and anyone who actively connects with children such as parents, carers, teachers and youth group leaders.
Note: Discounts are available for bookings from educational, health, social care, and not-for-profit organisations. For further information, please get in touch.
